The cottage at Buis-les-Baronnies

 

Entering straight from the little foot traffic only ruelle you are in the kitchen / dining area
with excellent cooking facilities and kitchen equipment.

You then go up the stairs to the second floor to the living room
with the bathroom and separate WC.

The sunny living room on the first floor at this cottage with parquet floor, rug, couch,
chairs and a desk - also the TV, DVD and CD players as well as lots of books.

The living room window is above the door, then the bedroom window and above this the balcony.
The line of very small windows makes the stairs bright and sunny on all levels.

The main bedroom with Provençale fabrics in the olive motive of the region -
where you wake up each morning looking straight out other window -

- and the view straight ahead from the living room, main bedroom and balcony  
- the amazing Rocher St Julien.

The loft level has a pleasant double bedroom with a small wash room opening on to an enclosed balcony 
with panoramic views of the village and mountains. Above is a mezzanine with railings and a single bed. 
The mezzanine is not separate from the bedroom below. 

The view looking from our third floor balcony towards one side over the backs of houses 
in the Grand Rue and on to the mountains -

- and looking the other way from the balcony.

The cottage
La Maison des Trois Chapons (the house of the three chooks) is a typical four storied house of 
the region in creamy-grey stone in the oldest part of the village - actually we are on the historical walk. 
All shops and services are just around the corner.
 
Ground floor
You enter straight from the street into the kitchen-dining room with a dining setting, 
gas stove, microwave, fridge, single bowl sink and plenty of cupboards. Stairs lead up to the next floor. 
 
First floor
The living room has great views over the mountains and is very light and bright with a parquet floor 
with rug and easy chairs, also TV, DVD player and many films, also CD and music discs.

The bathroom off has a basin, bath with shower over and washing machine.
Separate WC. Stairs lead up to the 2nd floor.
 
Second floor
Up here is the sunny main bedroom with double bed. A door leads into a small second 
bedroom with a single bed - this room is small and a little dark without a light on. 
Floor-to-ceiling curtains across both rooms close across the stairs to give privacy. 
Stairs go up from this room to the attic bedroom.
 
Third floor and mezzanine
There is a very pleasant double bedroom with a small wash room opening on to an enclosed balcony 
with panoramic views of the village and mountains. Above is a mezzanine with railings and a single bed. 
The mezzanine is not separate from the bedroom below. 
Gas and electric heating. Electric hot water.  Telephone.
As our little street does not take cars, safe parking is just around the corner near the church.
The cottage sleeps either 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children plus baby.
